Simone Biles
Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio U.S.A. She was the first gymnast from the United States to ever win four gold medals during one Games. in Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to have won consecutive World All-Around titles. Biles and her younger sister Adria, who were adopted by Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area), grew up there. Simone was first able to show an interest in gymnastics when she was a six-year-old during a school field trip at Bannon Gymnastix. Aimee Borman was her coach for the next eleven years. Biles won the vault and floor exercises at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the elite competition level in the year 2011. Within less than two years, she had become the top athlete in her field. Biles made headlines by her consistent performance, her enthusiasm and level of effort she introduced throughout each competition--vault bars that were uneven, balance beam and ground work.
