Lisa Edelstein is an American actress who is best known for her work on House, a Fox medical show, House. Growing up with Jewish conservatives in Wayne, New York City was where she set her sights to study acting at Tisch. The school was heavily involved in the club scene in New York City and made enough noise to get noticed in the press. While doing so, she was becoming more aware of AIDS' devastating effects. Her experiences as well as her celebrity to compose and write the musical called Positive Me in which she starred. Her first gig was at MTV as anchor of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. After it was taken off show, she started appearing in films and television production at first in small roles and gradually established herself as an actor.
